TEA releases 2026 ratings for six Hockley County school districts
TEA announced the release of 2026 A-F Accountability Ratings for public school systems and campuses across the state. The overall ratings for the six Hockley County school districts are listed below.
TXschools.gov describes the overall rating this way: "This measures how much students are learning in each grade and whether or not they are ready for the next grade. It also shows how well a school or district prepares their students for success after high school in college, the workforce, or the military."
Anton ISD received a C from the Texas Education Agency in its 2026 accountability ratings, released August 14, 2026.
Levelland ISD received a B from the Texas Education Agency in its 2026 accountability ratings, released August 14, 2026.
Ropes ISD received an A from the Texas Education Agency in its 2026 accountability ratings, released August 14, 2026.
Smyer ISD received an A from the Texas Education Agency in its 2026 accountability ratings, released August 14, 2026.
Sundown ISD received an A from the Texas Education Agency in its 2026 accountability ratings, released August 14, 2026.
Whitharral ISD received an A from the Texas Education Agency in its 2026 accountability ratings, released August 14, 2026.
